Implants are the modern way to replace missing teeth. The implant which is made of titanium is fitted in the bone where the tooth would normally be. A crown can then be attached to the implant to replace the missing tooth.
The teeth either side of the gap are prepared for crowns. These are joined together by a false tooth within the space.
This is a plate with a number of false teeth on it. They can be made of plastic or a mixture of plastic and metal. Unlike implants and Bridges these are not permanently fixed in the mouth. They have to be removed at night and to clean.
